MESSAGE TO ALL EMPLOYEES REGARDING THE HEALTH INSURANCE MARKETPLACE EXCHANGE:  Beginning January 2014, most individuals will be required to have health insurance or be subject to a tax penalty.  The Health Care Reform Law (Affordable Care Act) creates a new type of online marketplace where individuals may purchase health insurance.  A government subsidy may be available to individuals purchasing coverage on the Exchange who do not have access to other acceptable coverage.  (District 200's health plan is considered acceptable coverage under the Health Care Reform Law.)  Employers are required to provide a "Notice of Exchange" to all employees.   A Health Care Reform "FAQ" sheet is also provided for your information.  Please feel free to contact District 200's insurance brokers, Fringe Funding, with any questions or for additional information.  Fringe Funding's phone number is 847-577-8085.

REMINDER TO ALL STAFF ON THE D200 HEALTH PLAN:  District 200 offers an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) which is provided by Perspectives Ltd..  EAPs provide free, confidential counseling services and much, much more.    Assistance from Perspectives is available 24/7 and can be accessed 3 ways; by phone at 800-456-6327; in person, through a scheduled appointment, and; online at  The EAP services are available to all District staff members on the District's group health plan, and to all of their immediate family members, even if those individuals are not on the District's medical plan.
